if you're trying to find a green spot to relax and (for example) read other than parque bolivar you should go to the cemetery! it it very beautiful, tranquil and has some interesting tombs to look at.

the cemetery is nice cause it has a lot of trees and is worth a visit if you don't have anything else to do.

Unless you have nothing else to do this isn't really worth the visit. It's a cemetery - and there are people mourning there. It doesn't seem right to be a tourist there

Never been to a cemetery that was so well attended and maintained. There's a real sense that people remember and celebrate those they've lost. Shocked at the number of people visiting there on a Sunday. Graves 'decorated' showing the individual's personality.

This cemetery has many impressive mausoleums and some beautiful statuary. I was impressed by the abundance of shady trees, which gave the area a very park like feel. The front section has the old graves and mausoleums, while further back are more modern, humble graves.

I always visit the cementery when I am in Sucre and I tend to bring friends when they visit Bolivia and Sucre for the first time. This is a nice, cultural experience revealing the socioeconomic differences in society. If you are lucky, you might see...More

Amazing place to visit. There are few sections where you can see a pretentious tombs for rich people as well as poor graves. Important place for locals who follow the catholic traditions.
