South of Ann Arbor, about 15 minutes from the downtown, the creature conservancy has a broad range of animals to visit from sloths to turkeys to alligators. There are fees to see most of the animals which are former pets (for the most part). The 'farm' provides educational programs and even hosts birthday parties.

This was the most amazing experience we have ever had with animals! Better then the zoo, The Creature Conservancy dedicates their time in rescuing animals from the wild and from other zoos. The cost was only $8 an adult and you got to have one on one interactions with each staff member at each habitat, something the zoo will never... More

We have attended many parties at the Creature Conservancy, and they have all been not only entertaining, but also educational. They will present 6-8 animals and guests are typically allowed to get up close and personal with each species, from Kangaroo to Emu. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, provide background information on all the animals presented, and are patient and... More

Wonderful experience! It's not a very large facility however what they lack in size they make up for in the ability to get up close and personal with the animals. Staff are knowledgable and happy to talk with you about the animals. The animal talk on Saturday was great! We visited during the time the Sloth was the feature animal... More

Really nice place to bring your kids to. My son and I came there 3 times and every time he had a nice visit. You go indoor to pet some of their animals.

This is a small but well kept collection of animals, many of them rescued . It is an excellent place to take kids with an enthusiastic and dedicated staff. February 2016 is Sloth month ( there is a baby sloth).

The Creature Conservancy is awesome! They have a ton of different animals that they have rescued over the years. During the day, you can tour the enclosure areas and see the animals hanging out, and the staff will usually have a few different animals out of their cages in an indoor area, and you can pet them! They have a... More

This was out @st visit, but certainly won't be our last. I stumbled on this place while surfing the net in the middle of the night, and had my 5yr old granddaughter there that afternoon. What a wonderful place! We had the best time. The staff were all so friendly and informative. My granddaughter was able to pet and feed... More
