I thought this was a cool gallery, though none of the artwork was anything I could buy. It seemed amateurish - something I would expect a high school or young college student to produce. Definitely not thought-provoking in any way. There's a restaurant/café inside with a nice courtyard where you can rest and enjoy a beer or coffee and some food. It's free admission so it's a nice place to visit and take a break from the sun and heat. There's also a cool little gift shop.

Melchor Pintor a local surgeon lived and practiced here till he died in 1983. Pintor les the fight for autonomy of Santa Cruz with its emblematic “11 por ciento” which was what the Civic leaders of the Comité pro Santa Cruz demanded as royalties of the Deparment from petroleum revenues. Alongside of furniture and installations from his practice there are videos about his life from relatives. Also poignant and powerful paintings by Eji Stih satirizing recent politics and injustice. Characterful building and cafeteria too

This is a review of the cafeteria-Patrimonio Cafeteria SCZ-inside Casa Cultural Melchor Pinto and not of the Casa Cultural itself....I dined here on one occasion while on a recent visit to Santa Cruz and was NOT impressed....The reviews that I had read promised something wonderful but the experience was a letdown....Service was very slow and for a while I thought I was being ignored....The choice of cakes and pastries was very limited and there was no atmosphere in the place....A disappointing experience and not worth a return visit.

Some nice artwork and a good place to relax but the roast beef sandwich and fresh juices stole the show, really very good.

The house that outside the Melchor Pinto Doctor has been restored and conditioned as a cultural space with various artistic exhibition rooms, this time "Alchemy" by Carolina Sanjinés was the sculpture show that was presented. Another of the rooms occupies belongings and medical history.
In the courtyard there are tables, as it has restaurant service, very Ad Hoc site to enjoy a drink or food immersed in this artistic atmosphere, I recommend it.
Enjoy Casa Cultural Melchor Pinto because: LIFE...is a JOURNEY!

Excellent exhibition that we enjoyed today, very popular with people who admire art, they have a cafe with several options to taste as well.
