We had an early start and were pleasantly surprised to see very few tourists at this temple. We climbed to the top and waited for the sunrise. Unfortunately for us today it was quite cloudy but I can imagine it would be really magnificent on a clear morning.

I liked that this one wasn't too busy. We sat in the shade on the other side on some steps and were largely uninterrupted. It looks great as the sun moves over the structures, and the colour of the stone is interesting.

Big towers and great carving here makes it well worth the visit, especially as it is near Ta Prohm. The views at sunset are supposed to be great but you have to choose your day when the air is clear. Going earlier cuts down the number of visitors.

Combined my visit to Pre Rup with my visit to Banteay Srei and made a wonderful afternoon out of it. I loved this temple! It is much larger than Banteay Srei yet still somehow off the beaten track. This temple really packs a punch. It is not large in area, but it is so TALL and the views from the... More

Pre Rup is a very interesting temple. There is something very grand about it. The view from the top of its walls of the surrounding area is very nice.

AGain, this is a must see site. It was a hot day, it was crowded, but it is so worth it. We loved it.

This temple opens at 5am (just like Angkor Wat) as it is positioned well for sunrise view. We arrived around 6am and not a person in sight! Being one of the lesser known temples, you get a more authentic feel around the ruins. Its rather small and you can explore the whole site easily within an hour.
