small temple near Bayon

A small temple on the Seam Reap temple tour, small and quite nice. Less tourists stop by, so ou can have a quieter look on the ancient culture.

This is a small hindu temple, the carvings are very beautiful. The place is not crowded and can be visited if one has bought three day pass.

This has intricate high-relief carvings of Shiva and Vishnu, quite different from those in Chau Say Tevoda. It has been well conserved but is quite small and easy to get to. Probably go if you have a three-day ticket.

Easily accesible and no steep stairs to scale. While visiting, we noticed the towers and carvings on the walls. Set among trees shades the temple and you can get some relief from the sweltering midday sun. After visiting, we crossed the street to get to its sidekick, Chau Say Tevoda. Analyse, compare and contrast.

If you have the time and are in the area, this is a great little temple to stop off at and take a look around.

It was our last night in Siem Reap and a gala dinner was organised but nothing prepared us for the most amazing evening we had. The buses parked and we were greeted by waiters with champagne and asked to follow the path lit by candles. Children wearing monkey masks danced round us as we walked up the rise. And then... More

Compared to the others this was probably the least of my favorites but if you are going past it is still definitely worth visiting and has some lovely detail and again great photos. We were the only ones here. There are some stalls near here trying to sell books etc...which we actually brought as we got a book about all... More

Thommanon is a pair of hindu temples that if you hadn't seen Angkor Wat or Thom first you would no doubt think they were awesome, but there's no getting away from the fact that in comparison...there is none. However, they are lovely in their own right and a lot more accessible and manageable for those less mobile. They are also... More

Small temple maybe, but very elegant and easily accessible on the way linking Angkor Thom’s Victory Gate and Ta Keo. It is Angkor Wat in style but almost empty of tourists. Competently renovated about 50 years ago, it is a good place to look at architectural details at leisure and a perfect place for pictures.
