We decided to do a pottery class so our hotel called them and they picked us up free of charge and without a pre-booking. We paid 20$ each US. We got to make 5 bowls each, and carve engravings in them all, then pick our favourite to be put in the kiln/dropped off at the hotel once finished. Our pottery... More

The Khmer Ceramics & Fine Arts centre pottery intro class was great fun. It gave me the chance to spend time learning from local people, play with clay and throw a small bowl with lots of help. My teacher was a super kind, talented young man who uses sign language and pictures to communicate because he is deaf, which worked... More

I booked this for my husband and I to try while we were in Siem Reap. He wasn't looking forward to it but actually really enjoyed it! The instructor showed us the basics and helped us as we made 5 pieces of our own each, before choosing one to fire in the kiln. We were leaving for the airport so... More

We are a family of five including 3 children aged 14, 8 and 6. All 5 of us had a brilliant time using the pottery wheel to make pots. The instructors are great and give you loads of help. This was a great family activity and we all enjoyed every moment making, destroying and decorating our pots! For 20USD each... More

This was the perfect way to spend a chilled morning after a day of temple visits. After a short introduction we were straight on the pottery wheels (one each). For the 20 usd fee you got to make 5 pieces and get one fired (delivered to your hotel the next day). They fire extra ones for you for 5 usd... More

We did the pottery class, it was all lead by deaf employers, making it a great experience. You get to make 5 different ceramic pieces and then you choose one to put in the oven and take home. This can take you between 1-2 hours. Its very professional and you get very good results, even if if you are a... More

This was a fun activity for young and old. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After a short demonstration, we all got to work and make our masterpieces. Admittedly, Thanks to a little help from the clay masters. The kids loved it.

1-2 hours spent at Khmer Ceramics costs $20 but gives you priceless treasures. You get to make 5 pieces on the potter's wheel, under the guidance of a teacher who is deaf (this is a skilled way for them to earn a living). (For kids they can find a hearing teacher.) You make a bowl, vase, and cup, and your... More

Wonderful experience! I went with my daughter (10 yrs old). We both learned a lot and had great fun. (Free tuk tuk back and forth to hotel plus delivery of items the following day.) Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy... they provide aprons, but throwing pots is a messy business... at least for the 2 of us! Interestingly, the... More
