SVC are a wildlife conservation organisation, running Cambodia's only birding and wildlife ecotours and safaris. From 1 day 'Temples and Wildlife' around Angkor Wat or the outlying temples, to 25 day epic birding and wildlife tours across the country to some of the most remote and remarkable habitats to see Cambodia's critically endangered species. From our wildlife ecolodges in the wild Northern Plains, to Gibbon spotting and jungle trekking with the indigenous Bunong in Seima, Mondulkiri every experience is custom made and totally unique. Our work in conservation and community based ecotourism gives us exclusive access to many of the Wildlife Sanctuaries and Protected Forests - taking our clients places nobody else can with the very best chance to see the incredible wildlife of The Kingdom of Wonder. Partnering with WCS Cambodia, our work directly contributes to population growth and stability of some of the world's most endangered species, a reduction in habitat loss and the stengthening of rurual economies in our communities. It gives you a chance to be part of this too.

A private tour of Lake Tonle, the largest fresh water lake in southeast Asia was recommended by a travel professional and we contacted the Center directly to arrange a one day tour. The process was easy via email and payment was by credit card without any middlemen. The guide from the Center and the driver met us at our hotel... More

We easily booked the half day local birding tour offered by Sam Veasna Centre by phone. It is $50 a head plus extra $12 transport from your Siem Reap hotel so not a particularly cheap proposition for two people. It is good some of the costs help local conservation initiatives. Starting at 5.30am (back at hotel at 9.45am) we were... More

We spent several days with SVC, a couple of half-day trips and a three day trip. All were excellent. Our guides were both extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled at spotting birds (even in the car while traveling at speed to the next destination), and the service offered was excellent. Moreover, the investment back into community development and conservation projects is a... More

Having heard great things about Sam Veasna, I arranged a half day birding trip. The night before the trip I received an email saying that they did not know where my hotel was. Because I was enroute, I did not see the email and the guide did not show up. Very disappointed!

My husband and I did the full day tour to the Prek Toal nature reserve and the floating village. We started at 5.30am then drove about 30 mins to the boat (a covered boat with a rather noisy engine). It takes about an hour to cross Tonle Sap lake and you can spot some birds along the way, but the... More

We just spent a wonderful day bird watching at ATT. Our guide was most informative and able to spot and and identify birds before we knew they were there. Sam Veasna is described as the birders' outfitter , offering access to premiere wildlife sites and guides, in The Rough Guide. Nothing could be further from the truth.
