Our family of six - including four teenagers - loved Countryside Cooking. Ben is sweet and wonderful as is his mother the cook. We loved learning how to cook Cambodian food and, in particular, really enjoyed the trip to the market where we got to see the local produce and 'shopping' scene. This is a rustic, authentic experience. Ben and... More

Did the morning cooking class with my partner and it was amazing. Ben picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel promptly. It was only a small group of four so we really got the most out of the tour. It started with a local market tour and then we headed to the country to learn how to... More

not like other cooking classes we have attended, this Countryside Cooking Class is helping the local farmers and orphans...which the ideal is unique and valuable. Ben replies our request in every first moment, and explain what the locals eat very well. We highly recommend anyone who interests in his class should go on the first or second day of your... More

We booked through Viator for $24 each and this was worth every penny. Our cooker cookery class took place in the Sojourn Boutique Villas, a fair way out of town. I'm not sure how useful the visit to the Cambodian family was beforehand, but certainly nice to give them rice and it was an opportunity to ask about daily life... More

This class was a real treat. The market tour was just fantastic. Ben led us through a maze of stalls and vendors and were were definitely the only tourists there. We got some great photographs while Ben explained the ins and outs of the daily rituals of those that worked at the market. I couldn't believe how friendly and outgoing... More

There's a handful of cooking experiences in Siem Reap, but others are merely classes and not experiences. The prompt email exchanges were something that left a very good first impression. We had the rare opportunity to have a private tour with Ben, the host, as others had changed to the afternoon session. The AM class starts at 8 and Ben... More

I booked this Cooking Class for my husband and I with prompt response from Ben by email. I was hesitant it being an afternoon class but had nothing to worry about. Bring mosquito spray for the late afternoon/evening. Ben picked us up on time at our accommodation. After picking up another 2 couples (classes are limited to 8), we proceeded... More

The cooking class alone was superb. The instruction was easy to follow, and Ben made sure to keep everyone involved. But even better than the class was the chance to meet such an amazing individual. Being able to hear about Ben's story and how he ended up taking in so many orphaned children is worth the price of the class... More

Ben's class is superb. The location is intimate and authentic. Your money goes to a great cause. It is a great stop for couples and families alike. The local market is truly local- you can't find anything like it in central Siem Reap. We were the only tourists in the entire market. Be sure to book in advance, because they... More

My partner and I went along to one of Ben's classes when we were in Siem Reap after we'd got a bit of temple fatigue. We've done many cooking classes across SE Asia in the past few months and this one was on a level with the best ones. The market visit in particular was much better than many of... More
