The first temple we went to and just the size and the surroundings is breathtaking . Be prepared to pay $37 US dollars to enter the area of Angkor Wat

So much ancient craftsmanship went into this place - you just have to stop and stare at the sheer scale of it all. There is too much detail to see in one visit actually. Unfortunately we scheduled too little time in Siem Reap so we...More

I absolutely loved this temple! The sheer scale and number of carved faces is hugely impressive. The 54 faces are all different and represent the 54 provinces that Cambodia once had. At least that’s what we were told. It looks like a movie set. Out...More

Another stunning Temple! Towers flanked with buddah faces on each side, wonderful relief carvings and much quieter than Angkor Wat.

Great place to visit. Took lots of amazing photos. As usual overrun with tourists. You are able to go upstairs for good views from different levels but take care on the steps.

The design is amazing. However, the main temple is quite pack during peak season. If u want to avoid, then u may want to go when the visitors with tour go for lunch.

Although still majority people will drop by to Angkor Wat first just to watch sunrise view, but still i prefer to visit Bayon Temple first as this is the most photo spots place with unique Bayon view. If you can see, every single Bayon inside...More

It is not far from Siem Reap. When you buy a ticket for Angkor Wat, $37 US, it includes admission to the Bayon. We booked our trip at tourist information.

This sad story is all over the web. An elephant used for tourist rides has died of exhaustion at Angkor. As this is clearly not an issue of travel and tourism, but one of animal welfare and animal rights, I don't understand... More
