This is a great site to include for a well-rounded cultural experience. Just visiting Angkor Wat would be a shame. Angkor Thom is just as popular as the main temple, and Baphuon is worth the time.

The temple looks magnificent. Would have loved to climb up the long flight of steps to check out the place / view. Unfortunately because they do not allow kids below the age of 12 to enter, I gave the steps a miss as my husband and boys were waiting outside. Upon entering, I decided to just take a quick look,... This temple is next to Bayon, with a great view from the top. I was the first one to enter that temple as I got there before opening. It gave my a feeling of Indiana Jones as the temple was all for me to admire. You have many many stairs so take your time and enjoy the scenery.

The temple is part of angkor thom and also involve climbing steep makeshift stairs if you have some problem in knees or legs you can avoid climbing as it has nothing unique to offer its just another temple.

After Bayon, we walked to Baphuon, a type of pyramid temple, which is quite different from the other main temples. It is around 10/15 minutes walking from Bayon, and you arrive through a big walkway which takes you to the front of the building. Some wooden steps take you to the top where you will have some very nice views... More

after we visited the bayon temple in angkor thom we arrived at the baphuon temple...a very filigran built pyramid styled monument with the possibility to climb over steep steps up to the top. the scenery was very pittoresque and enchanted...a big walkway infront of the temple brought us inside. the extraordinary architectures brought us in astonishment again. how this was... It's a hike to get to the top and depending on your fitness level will determine if you get to the top. We got to the top and enjoyed the views
