We took the exciting ski lift up to the top, where there is a magnificent panorama of the city and ocean, following which we hiked down a well marked path, which occasional further vistas. If you like moderate hiking (my wife and I are in our 60s and fit, but not athletes) this route combines great scenery and exercise, the... More

Ride up to the top of the ski lift which is a very outdated lift but never the less got us to the top, the views are great and worth the effort. As this is out of season for skiing you can elect to trek down with a guide, through the wooded area, across streams. Unfortunately , ensuring staying upright... More

I did climb several time the Andino from Punta Arenas and it is a beautiful ascent to the top, quite demanding. When you arrive on the top you have few trails for MTB and also for downhill. If you are tired there is also a restaurant to recover and drink something.

Our shore excursion took us on chairlift to top of hill. Then we walked back down on waymarked path from viewpoint. Lovely Lenga woodland, frosty white when we came. You could easily get a taxi from town to the Club and do the walk yourself but not sure when chairlift is open. Go into club café to buy tickets and... More

We took a summer hike down a mountain, after riding the ski lift up. Some people say it's a bit chilly up there. We Floridians wore woolly scarves, hats, jackets, gloves, gortex pants, and needed every bit of it until we descended about a quarter of the way down where the wind stopped biting. We were lucky to have people... More

Not a terrible place to go. My ship was here and I figured I would check it out. Very simple mountain. One lift. Small rental building and lodge. But over all a lot of fun. I plan on going back again. Beautiful view as well. It was a little tough finding a taxi that would make it up the dirt... More

Take the ski lift to the top and get an amazing view of The Straits of Magellan. It's a bit windy and cold (mid 50's Fahrenheit in the summer) so dress appropriately. Then trek down on the marked path. It takes about an hour and a half through the woods but it's an interesting trek and intermediate level. There is... More

This is a little out of town and I found it interesting as you see some countryside with horses and cows. It provides a nice view of the city below. We did not take the chair lift because we would have had to walk back down. One of having had back surgery it was not for us - but I... More

There is a nice little restaurant and a clearly marked path in the woods till the very top. Light trekking, worth trying.

If you are comparing this to Ski resorts around the world this one will probably disappoint. With that being said it is definitely still something fun to do while in Punta Arenas. There is only one chair lift that takes you up the small mountain. There are a decent number of trails and a variation in difficulty. The snow is... More
