though the real West Lake in Hangzhou is huge and famous, I love the quaint feel of Fuzhou's West Lake! It is beautiful and clean.

Honored as the Lungs of City, Xihu Park is located on Hubin Road in the north of Fuzhou and at the foot of Wolong Mountain and it is by bar the fullest-preserved classical park of Fuzhou. It comprises three islands, i.e. Kaihua Island, Xieping Island...More

This is a scenic and free (!) park. Offers beautiful walking paths through pagodas and flower gardens. We visited with a 2 year old and still very much enjoyed the experience.

Don't bother, polluted water, lots of construction, hopefully Improved in the future. A circle walkway with not much to see.

Xihu - meaning West Lake. Not to confuse with West Lake in Hangzhou :) My mother-in-law brought us here as it's a place she loves to go when she was young. It's a nice and peaceful place in the city. Great for slow walk, morning...More

The park retains a calm atmosphere, and seems rather out of place among the towering buildings surrounding it. The public toilets were indeed scary and to be avoided unless you don't have a keen sense of smell. Lovely Banyan trees to be seen.

Typical Chinese lakeside park. The Fujian Museum is adjacent. A place where the locals head to relax

West Park Lake was created during the Jin dynasty. It is a popular recreational area for locals with a small zoo, a temple and numerous pagodas and pavilions on the waters edge. Nice for a stroll and to mingle with the local crowd.
