China light.

We caught the ferry across from Hong Kong-40minutes. No high rise buildings, lots of western coffee shops, restaurants as well as local places to eat and drink, a lot of bars.

Well sign posted and easy process to transfer from an inbound international flight at Hong Kong. I chose first class and had the upper deck to myself. Not really necessary but a nice end to a long journey. Arriving at the terminal is a breeze as only one ferry arrives at a time and there are plenty of immigration officers.... More

A fun thing to do if you like to see how it was before big beautiful buildings appear. Streets lines with little shops of all kinds. Good little restaurants with even better prices. A nice look back in time.

This place is very modern and has recently undergone massive development to become a tourist hub, many hangout places, restaurants, shops, and you name it, also sea world has an underground metro station making it very easy to get to. A must see place in Shenzhen in my opinion.

The Sea World area has undergone tremendous changes recently with the development and construction. It is now a modern area with all the expensive restaurants and pub. It also has a water light show every evening. The restaurants were to be patronized mainly expats but there are wealthy locals everywhere. It is quite touristy and expensive.

Its shifted to a new place, not far from previous one but further from the city. You now get dropped in basement and need to use elevator to go up. The place is incredibly modernized and a much better experience than before. You can take ferry to Zhuhai, HK, HK Airport and Macau.........

This place is CONFUSING! I arrived there around 18:00 and it was already very dark. Therefore, I got lost because I couldn't see the streets well and not familiar with the area. By metro, it takes more than an hour to go from Luohu line to Shekou line! Wow! So much more painful. Although this area has great old styled... More

But it is only just down the road at the new Cruise Centre, less than five minutes by regular free shuttle buses from the old terminus. At the new centre the buses drop and pick up passengers in the basement level B1, where escalators take you up to the many waiting room seats on the ground floor 1, a considerable... More

I really like this area of Shennzhen. Very fast-paced and a great area full of expats and restaurants. If you're missing cuisines from back home (American, German, etc) this would be a good place to go to. There's plenty to look at, tons of bars and a great place to people watch.
