Need to buy another Elephant

The park is nice and some of the animals have very nice envirmoments to live in. Only the elephant looked rather sad alone, and I think the Lions need a bigger enclosure.

The Orchids are wonderful with so many varities. The views from the gardens are superb. The rope bridge is an experience not to be missed.Neither is the cable ride. But you must have a head for heights. The 5D cinema is simply awesome. Unfortunately when i visited it was crowded with people, and waiting for the buses can be crushing. On... More

Pretty long drive from haikou but that is ok. Better buy tickets online (through hotel) in advance Book car for the round trip Can cover the volcano area on the way back Two parts one to walk and one for driving. Each about one hour. Walking part is nice. The monkeys are quite fun. During sunny days consider an umbrella.... More

Not the greatest zoo in the world by any means, but we had fun for a day, got some good photos and enjoyed a nice lunch in the company of live flamingos! Some areas of the zoo are obviously quite old, and some sections closed. Check with locals about the best road to take. We took the sign posted road... More

This was very popular. It took us about an hour to see our first animals. The lions and bears were great, the rest didn't look so well taken care of. Many had large patches on their skin. It looked like some kind of mange. Not a great place for animal lovers but the kids did enjoy seeming so many up... More

We visited the wildlife park with our two young boys (4 & 1) and had a great time. There was a drive through safari part where you can get up close with the lions, bears. There was also lots of opportunities to feed the animals for a small fee (elephants, camels, monkeys, hippos). There was also a special hybrid ligers... More

A zoo/safari experience unlike any other. It begins with a vehicle tour (you need your own car) where you get off a various stations to see elks, elephants, wild boars, camels, ponies, etc. At each station, there will be an option to feed the animals (RMB 5 per pack of food) or take a ride (RMB 10 for a pony... you must drive a vehicle to the park because there's a drive through section that you could watch the lions and bears as close as you want. and you could also walk into the monkeys' hill to play with them. if you have young kids, you shouldn't miss this park.

We went by taxi from Haikou. The driver drove us around the drive through section and then waited whilst we wandered around the rest of the zoo.We paid him approx £40. My daughter and her friend had a marvelous time as they were able to feed a huge variety of animals.Elephants, camels, monkeys and surprisingly crocodiles! Tad disconcerting ~ wondered why a... More
