The zoo is located about 1-1 1/2 hours outside Shijiazhuang in a mountainous area. The park is absolutely beautiful and there are many things for everyone in the family to enjoy. My friend and I were there for 6 hours and did not see all of the exhibits or go to the amusement park, so you might consider making this... More

Whilst remembering that this is China and the standard of cleanliness may not be what you are used to it still is a good zoo. (If you're not opposed to the concept of zoos) Lots of animals from kangaroos to pandas, elephants, bears, rhinos, crocs, snakes etc. Takes several hours to see everything. 50CNY per adult.

1400 year old temple suspended between two cliffs on a 1600 year old arched bridge, plus many other temples and pagodas on the side and tops of the cliffs.

Zoo is good but huge and have to walk a lot ofcourse you can also take van moving inside. Panda which is more attraction for locals and Zoo is taking lot of care for the same. Animals are well kept. Not many wild animals.

In Shijiazhuang, most history tour sites are in Zhengding district, like Longxing Temple, Rongguo mansion, Kaiyuan Temple...... in downtown and nearby area there aren't many interesting places, The Zoo is huge and located in the West of Shijiazhuang, I think it is an interesting place when the weather is cool especially if you have the change to have a look... This is a massive zoo. Located about 1.5 hr bus ride from the city center. The #5 bus takes you to the zoo. The zoo was built along the mountain range, which provides natural environmental elements for the animals: valleys, hills, mesas, etc. They highlight that they have won numerous awards and try to provide a sanctuary for the animals.... This was a sudden decision and it was well worth it. We went there the day before Chinese new year and they were just a few more people in the entire zoo. The zoo itself is massive and it would easily take an entire day to see it in entirety. We just walked around as much as we could. The... More

the city is ok, the street is very clean and there are a lot of shopping mall, and you can visit the sit by bike, you can find a bike in public place and have no charge. But there is no some special. So if you want a special trip, the city is no a good choice.
