Well I can say without a doubt in mind that THE coldest place in Wuhan if not China is the Ice museum of Wuhan zoo. You have to put on a artic coat to walk in the building ....a pleasant end to strolling the Zoo. The zoo in wuhan is a whole day event and very cheap on the budget.... More

The zoo is in a large and beautiful park but the zoo part itself is very sad. The animals are kept in outdated cages, it smells around the cages, which is an indicator that the animals are not cared for properly. A sad excuse for a zoo. We went there to see pandas but there is only one panda in... More

There are many negative reviews on here about the zoo... please keep in mind when visiting the Wuhan Zoo, that you are in China and the standards for "animal rights" are very different than in the west. That being said, we had a decent time. It's a park-like setting that is very peaceful. I did not like the zoo visitors... More

If your an animal lover like myself, it's best you say away from Wuhan zoo. It's very sad as the animals seem to have nothing! They have moldy carrots and sweet potatoes to eat, sleeping in their own poop! The only animals that where best kept and looked after of corse where the pandas even with air conditioning units fitted... More

Pleasant couple of hours. A few animals and birds that are quite rare, including white peacocks. Petting zoo as well.

If you are looking for a good way to kill an afternoon, this is the place to go. It's a rather small zoo, but it is awesome. There are a ton of animals, even a panda or two. It is surprising fun.

Well, first of all to get there you need to use a bus (if not a taxi) and sometimes it is a challenge in China. We took bus #608 from zhongjiacun station (green line) and after 4 stops were there. The entrance ticket is just 20 RMB, I mean just, cause all other park in Wuhan are 70 minimum (Yellow... More

This is truly a sorry excuse for a zoo. Please do NOT pay it a visit. The cages of these animals look like they haven't been cleaned since the opening of the zoo, or fed either! It was so sad to see these animals sitting in their own dung, looking so depressed and underfed. Don't support an organisation such as... More

If you hate animals, you like seeing them mistreated malnourished, abused, neglected, forced into tiny tiny spaces, if you like to see people throw food at animals in a cruel and sadistic way, if your idea of a good time involves watching animals you should see a vet limp around in pain, then this is your place! Oh, and the... More

This Zoo is situated in a large (very large) park ground, and is spread out over this large area. The enclosures are of poor quality, and some animals are too cramped. No animals should be kept on display inside concrete walls with steel grills out front for the public to view in this day and age. It is very archaic.... More
