I'm not sure why people would be interested in a Chinese square. Sure, maybe you just want a break from the concrete jungle. Maybe you enjoy having Chinese look, stare at you as if you had two heads? You certainly will not escape the constant honking of horns or the blare of 15 different loud speakers emanating from the 15... More

On evening you can catch the older folks doing their square dance, smell the lovely odors of the food cooking in nearby shops (if you're on the outskirts) or witness impromptu choreography from dance teams practising. If you're... More

Wonderful display in the evenings of many dances and general family activity. Relaxing to see after hectic days in city. Great slice of modern Chinese culture.

We came across this open area after visiting GuoMao shopping centre. It was evening time and the square was packed with local of all ages. There were performance from dancing school, golden age folks doing line dancing and chacha, children cycling and skating, and many other just sitting, watching and relaxing. It has such a good and positive vibe.

Huge square, many shops around, comes alive at night in the summer with dancers and performers of all ages and styles, many appear to be dance schools, great fun to watch, some impressive dancers, friendly atmosphere.

Chinese pop culture at its most unattractive. Bad restaurants abound,Walmart etc. is all here so it's OK for small shopping but otherwise crowded and ho hum.
