This garden is all about the rocks and the water features. There are some incredible rock bonsai in the building at the northwest corner of the garden opposite the entry pavillion. The grottos to the left of the entry are a bit Disney-like, and they get crowded. Fun to go through initially, but we ended up sticking to the outer... More

In the middle of Suzhou City hustle and bustle - this garden is the place for children and adults - families. Have some excersize and relax, take some snacks or sandwich for a small picnic - that's your day! This garden is very different from any others -a stone labyrinth. You may spend there an hour or several - as... More

This place is beautiful. But if you want to take a nice photo, do avoid visit during holiday season. We came here during New Year and it was really crowded and noisy and we couldn't enjoy the atmosphere to the max.

Gardens are aplenty in Suzhou. What stands out here is the numerous and interesting rock formations. Makes the trip more interesting. Worth a visit for some photo taking.

We went there in the winter of 2016 and the garden was like a maze around a pond. While we definitely enjoyed our visit there, there wasn't any iconic objects or whatsoever. Worth a visit but can be skipped if you don't have enough time in Suzhou.

“It is wonderful”, this was my first feeling as I entered to Lion Grove Garden. Lion Grove Garden is small than any other classical gardens of Suzhou, so you may walk around spending a short time. However, it looks like more detailed than other. It contains everything in a small place, so it gives me a great sense of space.... More

Even though the garden was full of tourists (mostly Chinese), since it was a weekend, it was a fantastic experience. This garden has a plethora of the decorative rocks from Lake Tai, and paths weaving in and out in inside of them, together with many pavilions and courtyards from which to view the gardens. The pavilions also contain many paintings,... More
