A beautiful Chinese garden with a lot of history. Strolling along by yourself is good enough if your main interest is in scenery and you would not be disappointed. But, I would recommend you hire a local guide who can brief you along the way. You will in addition get to appreciate the culture and the stories behind.

A nice place to enjoy in Wuxi. We came to Wuxi for a long weekend gateway - to relax and enjoy some tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of Shanghai. JiChang Garden meets that requirement :-) it is truly a place to sit and relax, enjoy nature and beautiful scenery

Located within the Huishan Old Town Area, The Park has a separate entrance fee besides the main entrane of the Old Town. Gaarden is mid sized but very well maintained and its better to get a guided tour to explain things because it makes a whole lot difference as to why certain buildings and trees are positioned at particular areas. In accordance to the Moon etc. Totally recommend

My tour guide brought us to this garden in Wuxi. Another typical beautiful Chinese garden to stroll around to absorb the history of the place!

If you enjoy ancient gardens, you will love the Jichang Garden located in the Huishan ancient city! The strolling gardens are replete with history, spirituality and wisdom. They are well cared for and come with blossoms, water features and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the culture of this precious part of Wuxi. I would suggest a guide to enhance your visit, and take plenty of photographs. This is one of the gems of Jiangsu province and a delightful place to visit in Wuxi!

This park had a lot of different features. There was a kids amusement park, gardens, and old palace, food, and shops. The walk up the hill to the pagoda was not long and there was a great view from the top.

This is the signature place for the historical city of Wuxi. When we went on a weekday, hardly anyone was around. We had the luxury of an official from the Municipal Government's Foreign Affairs Department to give us a tour. I sure learnt a lot about Chinese history, in particular the Qing Dynasty. The place was huge and we finally had to stop and leave because we (the American visitors) simply can't walk any more. I highly recommend a longer visit (or multiple visit) and make sure you have an English speak guide to walk with you.
