Therefore it is difficult for me to rate it. However I heard this is the second biggest square in China after Tian an men. I believe once it... More

If you go here, make sure you check out the shopping centres around the square, as there isn't too much to see in the square itself, but the shopping is great in the centres encircling the square. Make you you have someone who can speak Mandarin with you as it's really a hub for locals

Get there for 8pm for the dancing fountains in front of the memorial. Truly lovely. The square is amazingly peaceful considering the traffic on all sides. Watch for the kites.

a nice walk around the square, take time to do a bit of research before you go it holds significant importance to the local people, be wary of beggars and street peddlers... go in the evening for the water show and the lights looks much better

A large square that has character and if you need to get out from your hotel in the old sector of town it is a pleasant relief. Flew a kite here and it made me feel like we had gone back in time! The new area and square is by far nicer but if you are looking for a taste... More

This is also the same as the August 1st Nanchang Uprising Monument. It is the second largest square in China, after Tiananmen.

This was one of the first places i visited when I first got to Nanchang. I was actually at the walmart opposite when I noticed all the kites in the sky. Crossing the road and spending time with the locals at the square was very heart warming to see kids with their parents flying kites and playing. The Bayi square... More

The Long March to overthrow the corrupt imperial government began here... There's some great stone carving and a very grand outlook from the central pedestal.

Good place to visit as it is located near the city lake and the main shopping area. You can also go there to fly your kite :)
