"Toured" this attraction on bus, so didn't go into any of the 'departments'. They are just buildings that were used about 100 years ago during the Japanese occupation of Northeastern China. The architecture is interesting though, if your bus is slow enough to let you see it clearly. The main point of interest is the big square, I forgot, which... More

You do not have chance to really tour inside it as it is now belong to the Jilin university and its hospital. Take a ten minutes to just walk by is probably what you can do. So, do it when you really have spare time, you can also walk to the culture park which is just near by

The eight departments of the Manchurian government were built to house the administration of the government during the period 1931-45. The buildings are large and of a Chinese style. They are all still working buildings, government departments, hospitals and such like, so they are not places to visit, rather places to see to increase the understanding of this period of... More
