Cold, cold, cold in January with biting wind. But, a nice sculpture and park area.

This place is mentioned when you ask about Dalian. However, if you set foot at Tiger Beach, you will find that there is really nothing really interesting there. Maybe access to Fisherman Wharf?

Nothing much to see. It's not the beach you expected. Just a giant aquarium with sea animals performing... not worth the hype. We instead took a 15mins walk from tiger beach to a dock called "yu ren Ma tou". European style houses and shops can be found there. A Wedding photography spot.

We visited this site with a tour group in very cold, windy conditions. It's a nice sculpture and park area that I'm sure would be very pleasant in good weather. There weren't many other people than our two tour buses present this afternoon, so I cannot comment about how crowded this attraction might be on a warm spring or summer... More

Jan 30 It was so cold that I took photos from inside the bus. I wanted to get closer to see the details of this remarkable sculpture but wasn't worth braving the freezing cold (10F). There is plenty of parking in front. Vendors surround the bus and those who choose to view the sculpture on foot. Aside from this monument,... More

I visited this place when I went to Pole Aquarium. The location just the same. In here you can see a beautiful scenery of the bay. You may take some picture in front of the statue.

There is no option of going for a swim or bathing in the beach - it is more like having a gathering on the beach. Lots of tents are set up and people simply gather around to have lunch or some food and lay back and relax. Not proper beach as such.

Tiger Beach is one of the Dalian's Park, tiger statue is landmark for Dalian, at this park you can taste a food available to buy from sea, good taste, crunchy, salty. Near Tiger beach also you can see a water-park, bird-zoo, maybe some day I could bring my family.

Expensive entry fee, short boat ride, over-rated tiger sculpture. Taxi drivers reluctant to take you back to the city. Short cable car ride, birds in big cages, pushy souvenir stands. I love China and I love Dalian but not Tiger Beach.

The highlight of the square is the largest granite sculpture in China and the largest animal sculpture in the world, six running tigers. Unfortunately there isn't anything else to see there.

The stone tiger statue looks very beautiful , but there is a long drive from Dalian city even that is a beautiful and joyful scenic view . Parking you car is not a problem . It was winter and very cold maybe summer will be better time to visit.
