Friendship Square Is The Heart Of Downtown Dalian
Nov 2018 • Couples
The soccer ball in the centre of Friendship Square is a monument to the Dalian soccer team that went 55 games without a loss, a few years ago. The soccer team is rebuilding and so is the soccer ball. It is the home of a light show, at night, now. Nearby are great hotels, the big bookstore, a dozen major malls, one thousand restaurants, and the train station.

A place for some more selfies...
Oct 2017 • Couples
A beautiful square surrounded by skyscrapers which are mostly HQs of some banks and during the night it looks more awesome. Worth a visit for some memorable pics of Dalian.

Good place and nice restaurants around

This place is good for a short visit and walk around that area. Nice with lights in the night and good during day time as well. However, the area is with full of high rises and a lot of bank HQs closeby.

My my, this is the place to go in Dalian for square dances and kite flying!
May 2016 • Solo
May 2015, so many square dancing DA MAs/aunties were there on the square apparently dancing to celebrate the INt'l labour day! I can imagine how much fun I'm having while recording all of the dances with the aunties)) Then there are kite fliers too! They use the westward wind to let it blow it up in the sky! Very fun place! There's a big blue globe near the middle of the square, shows the multiple cities in the world! Fun place!

Worth a few pics
Sep 2016 • Business
A crystal ball which lights up at night with various designs. They call it a square but it is actually a traffic circle with about 6 roads leading off. Zhongshan square is just a few blocks up the road. It is worthwhile taking a few pics of the ball, both day and night. If you are living in the area and are lost, just look for the crystal ball or the very tall building (still under construction in Sept 2016) overlooking it. Use it as a landmark to find your bearings.

Another Landmark of Dalian
Aug 2016 • Solo
I liked the green crystal ball in the middle, which lights up at night (there seems to be a copy of it in Yantai). It's just a pity that the lovely old church opposite is now a KFC! With regard to size and architecture, this square is comparable with Zhongshan Square, which is a street up. Both are not as large as you would imagine!

Nice short stop
Jun 2016 • Business
This is one of Dalian's numerous squares, so it is worth visiting for couple of minutes- just to take few pictures. I recommend seeing it at night when the ball lights up. It is in a good location so you don't have to go out your way to visit.

There's nothing worth seeing
May 2016 • Solo
There's nothing worth seeing here. And be care. The square is always full of cars and cars and cars. It's best to walk the underpath which connected with the subway. You can enjoy a lot more if you go to the shopping erea near here.

I think, China develop a lot of place to support city development, one of them near my stay at Intercontinental Hotel is Friendship Square, Not much to see but it's a nice place for Photos session (Vintage point).
