Dongling is the burial tomb of the first emperor of the Qing dynasty. It's on the outskirts of town so you will need to travel there by taxi, Didi or private car. It's also served by public buses. We went with a Didi driver but could not get a driver to take us back to Shenyang, so we took a... More

The Dongling Park is part of the Fuling Tomb - outside the Walls of the main Tomb area. Still has some of the thousands of 400 year old Pine trees planted originally when the tomb was opened in 17th century - the rest were destroyed during the Japanese occupation in 1930's and 40's. Large expanse of a park that features a golf course, a lake and the first Qing emporer's tomb. Great for a picnic and fresh air. Detailed reviews of the tomb are listed under 'Fuling Tomb'.

The area is an old emperor tomb area in a very good condition. To reach the tomb you have to walk a very nice park; and the whole area is located within a big forest, so you can get fresh air during your trip

This park is similar to Beiling Park, but less people, especially on the weekend. Park itself has more old trees, I think in summer more comfortable. Building structure around the emperors tomb same impressive like in Beiling Park.

There were surprisingly only a few tourists on Friday afternoon. It was serene. The stone sculptures along the walkway, pine trees, 108-step stairway, and the wall were unique and very nice. As in any historical site, you will learn and enjoy more if you know the history. There are signs explaining different sites but can’t recall it is in English... More

Get there early in the morning before the Chinese arrive as it is then very peaceful. No oustanding sights but well worth visiting.
