For the Northeast China area, this is about as good of a hike that you'll find. most of the path is either concrete steps or wooden planks, but you're still in nature, and it's still worth a trip if you're in Shenyang and you're craving hiking.

We visited here as a family when I was very young at age 6 and 7 in 1995. This mountain features one of the most wonderful things: SKIING!) AND DOG-SLEDS in the winter! We skied and played snowballs at a very young age) It was very fun! Ah, those memories still exist within me) How wonderful back then!

If you go at about 4 then you'll have time to play some of the winter sports before the crowd gets there and the lights turn on. There is bbq and a... More

Great breakout from the city life. During the wintertime it is a local ski resort.
