The Imperial Palace is pretty interesting. If you have the time, love history or love the culture just check it out. There are some really antique items on display which is pretty mind-blowing to think that it is so old. This is place is very good for ootd photos, it's very Instagram worthy. There are still some places under renovation... More

A symbol of Shenyang. Traditional place and easy to reach from any 5 star hotel by taxi. Recommendable place.

The money what you pay for entrance doesn't deserve that (60 rmb) . Quite boring as for me.The most of palace rooms looking the same

This palace is a good place to visit if you are 1st timer ShenYang visitor as the place have lots of history. However being an imperial palace you always get compared with forbidden city Beijing and the restoration work here also doesn't meet the level of Beijing. Overall, it one of the better tourist attraction and would recommend a look.... More

The Manchus ruled China as the Qing dynasty from 1644 until 1911 and the founding of the Republic. Shenyang's Gu Gong is at one time an effort to demonstrate the culture of Manchus, but at the same time a design built around Manchu needs. The eastern section, for example, has a pavilion for each of the "banners", the units of... More

A nice place to see, with actual furniture. A must visit to the Palace in the North. If I remember correctly, this is the Winter Palace of the Emperor...

Thought it was a pretty well maintained historical site. Nice place to learn a little bit about China's history.

The Imperial Place in Shenyang I thought was more interesting than the Forbidden City. More buildings could be accessed and the weapons were interesting. Being winter there were fewer visitors on the day I visited. The toilet block was large in comparison to the complex. Follow the circuit as per the guide. Entry 60 Yuan and its a plastic card... It is worth visiting whilst in Shenyang. Though smaller than the Forbidden City in Beijing, it is an interesting historical attraction. A surprise was finding a metal baby cradle-swing hung from the ceiling of a large room. The architecture is somewhat different from that of the Forbidden City, perhaps due to the Manchurian influence.

I was there in a very cold day, but I really enjoy this place. It is not big as Beijing Imperial Palace , but its nice and very well maintained. 👍
