We went there End of March. So for swimming it was bit to cold. But we already got an impression about this huge beach. For sure in summertime it is very nice there. Also enough little shops for food, souvenirs and other stuff are available

We walked along the beach walk from Taiping Lu all the way to 4th May Square. It's an easy walk, suitable for all levels of fitness, and easy to leave and join the path if you want to take a break, get a bus, or look at some of the attractions along the way. We passed through the Badaguan Scenic... More

There is a nice boardwalk layed out here along the waterline. Its a mixture of concrete paths and wooden planks. Pretty much runs next to the shoreline so you can just take your time and stop at various points for tide pool watching.

Picture clean sea breezes, the sound of waves lapping against the shore and a 40km boardwalk that hugs the coast of Qingdao. The boardwalk offers a nice break from the hoards of tourists in Qingdao and is recommended if you're not into crowds. The boardwalk also brings you pass some of the top attractions in Qingdao, including Badaguan and the... More

This walk I believe goes for about 40 km along the seafront. We have done the western end a couple of times, over about 5-6 km. The trail is excellent - well-signposted, even concrete paving or wooden boardwalks, with lots of "you are here" maps along the way. It hugs the coastline, passing through parklands most of the way,the Badaguan... More

You can not come to Qingdao and not take a walk along this picturesque corridor of sea front landscape. It's an opportunity to enjoy something without modern concrete towers always dominating the scenery. Go with someone special or with a group, but if you need some space to yourself, you should also find this experience a good escape from daily... More
