I enjoyed my second visit to this Church building in 2 years. They were in the middle of a wedding service, so that was also interesting. The bell tower is intriguing with all the working parts of the clock visible behind glass. Extraordinary German workmanship....More

On a cloudy October day I walked on Jiangsu Lu and clearly saw the Jidu/Protestant Church alongside with the Catholic/Tianzhu Church! Overall, it was very nice to be there and take photos at the church. I really liked the clock on the building, reminds me...More

The Protestant church is beautifully located on top of a small hill. The yellow and green colors of the building are special and make it a great object for photographers. The interior is rather simple and the climb up the tower hardly worth the effort...More

Germans lived in Qingdao from the mid-late 1890s to around 1914. So, there's a lot of German influence here. This church is part of that influence. Only 10 RMB to tour the church when there are no services going on. One should perhaps be thankful...More

Unless you like your churches soul-less and crowded with brides taking their glamour shots, this is a church to skip. Sign says it's "old", but looks quite new. Perhaps it's a rebuild or something. Interior is sparse and not photogenic at all. Go to the...More

The entrace fee was 10 RMB, and you can simply enjoy a beautiful building. If you like architecture, it is worth spending half an hour here. Good picture material :)

Enjoyed visiting this Church Building. Got to climb the Bell Tower and it was interesting to see the mechanism of the "still working" clock, made in Germany. Plenty of Bridal couples in the courtyard having pictures taken and some beautiful stain-glass Windows as well
