No entrance fee. From outside Middle East style inside "Chinese temple style". You can find some English poster inside with some explanations. Good condition and architecture. Its near the drum tower. Thanks for reading my review and I hope it was helpful for your trip.

Centrally located, this practicing mosque however heavily restored gives an interesting perspective on the combination of architectural styles and religions on the silk road.

Even if it's more obvious that it's a Mosquee than the one in Xi'An, it's still in a very Chinese way The best parts are visible from outside

In the centre of the walled part of Datong it is a very pleasant Mosque with lovely gardens and well set out. Quite an important Mosque in the town, you don't need much time here.

Not very different in layout from the Buddhist temples, it is however a Mosque with all the essentials of a mosque. A very particular one though. The staff are very helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Here is a very nice and traditional wall! ... nothing more ... and a souvenirs shop. Do not expect any other attraction there.

At the time of writing, the Datong Old Town was undergoing massive restorations. The city has undertaken the mammoth project of rebuilding its ancient city walls from scratch, and its main temples have had (over-zealous) facelifts. One less publicized project is the restoration of Datong's...More
