The admission is free but you must present a photo ID to exchange for a ticket, for foreigners, use your passport. Datong city wall is one of the best well preserved city wall in China. It's bigger and taller than ones in Pingyao and Xian....More

Nice but nothing much. The view from the wall is fine. You can see new apartments building and many constructions.

I am always interested about fortifications so likewise this is very interesting to me. As Datong was a frontier city. Ironically I think this wall saw more fighting between the communists and nationalists in 1946. Anyway good to visit since it is free.

We could see this from our hotel it huge. It was beautiful at night with the lights on. We enjoyed this. I don't know how accurate it is from the original but it worth going to

No entrance fee. You can enter from different places. It's similar to the one in Xian. But still a great feeling. You can rent a bike and ride on the wall. I went there during day and night time. In the evening the guard houses...More

the walls in China are a must see. The contrast tradition and modern buildings in background is mind blowing, walk about on sunset is exciting
