Whether it be clubbing, ktving, drinking , dining or just people watching this area has something to offer.
Sample the street food that Chengdu is famous for from a myriad of stalls.
Fairly priced booze at the Commune bar.
Lose yourself in Club Space
Have fun

There are few cities with towers that I haven't been up; I like getting the perspective of the city from on-high. Sadly, Chengdu, with it's lack of real landmarks (the tower IS the landmark for orientation!) didn't really help. It cost a few bucks, it's NOT Petronas Towers or Empire State Building or even CN Tower. But you have to do it to cross it off your list.

Easily arrived at the top of the tower. Great views daytime. We stayed for the buffet dinner and watched sunset and the lights come on. The food was less than appetizing. Lobster was weird (texture and taste). The folks next to us were crunching on duck heads I stuck to pasta and some vegetables which made for an expensive meal. People were very friendly to us Americans.

If you want to see Chengdu from the sky you should go there. But only when the weather is good, if not, then don't go, Went there on a rather hazy day, so everything was rather grey and couldn't see very far.
The food at the restaurant is okay, but not very good, so, so.

Maybe it was the day we visited, but visibility was poor. At least in my opinion, there is more to do and see in Chengdu, especially if you traveled from the other side of the world.

Like other reviewers have noted, it is, in essence, just like any other tall tower in the world. Unfortunately, visibility can be limited, even on a “nice” day.

Amazing 360' view of Chengdu, paid 70RMB to use the glass lift up and down (one way takes 90seconds) we would recommend going at a time where you can experience the view at day and night times. The tower has an outdoor viewpoint where visitors can stand on a glass floor, an indoor viewpoint as well as a buffet restaurant.

Only to recommend. The tower turned out to be the highest I've ever visited. Especially in sunny weather gives you an exquisite overview on Chengdu.

The attraction is located in the centre of Chengdu. From the observation platform in some 200 m height, a good view of the city is achieved. At night the tower is illuminated in rapidly alternating colours. We had dinner in the rotating restaurant below the observation platform. They offer an all you can eat and drink menu with a quite big buffet with sea food, sushi and steaks. Soft drinks, beer and wine are included.

It's called the Sichuan Radio and TV Tower, or the West Pearl Radio and TV Tower, not the Chengdu Radio and TV Tower.

I visited the tower because my wife collects model buildings, so she asked me to pop in here while I was in Chengdu.

The souvenir shop at the top is a great place to go if you want to buy a resin model of the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, or the Eiffel Tower. Inexplicably, they sold no souvenirs of the building itself.

There was a revolving restaurant that looked OK. And a lot of very loud music.

It does have a pretty good view of Chengdu.

There's a nice shopping centre next door. But the tower itself is just a bit strange and pointless. Pointy, of course. But also pointless.
