This beautiful Mosque is in the center of the city. It is very peaceful place. Plenty of place for prayer.

Just off the central square - interesting as a contrast to the different building . Good to see the diversity here.

If you are near Tianfu Square this might be worth a passing look. There is nothing particularly archeticurally remarkable about this mosque, more just a functional place of worship. The entrance is through the basement area that has the appearance of a car park. If you have a particular interest in Islam this building may be of more personal interest to you. Not worth a special trip.

We went to Huangcheng Mosque by using Metro from Incubation Park Station to Tianfu Square. The mosque lies on the 2nd floor and on the 1st floor there are several halal restaurants and halal store and also 1 butcher store that sell halal meat.

Especially on friday there are friday street market open from 10-14 selling many kind of food such as satay, meat soup, fried lamb rice, fruits, etc.

We eat the soup for warming our body since the temperature ia 4 degree celcius and after that we enter the mosque and start praying. The ritual is basically same like in Indonesia and there are additional like speech from the imam (before adhan and friday khutbah). This is the first time we pray on such cold weather. Love the moment here.

Mosque entrance is through something that looks more like a garage. It’s a very tranquil place. Mosque is surrounded by many places to eat Halal food. You could also appreciate the contrast Hi of the architecture of the building and it’s surroundings.

As a worshipper, its a beautiful Masjid to pray in. It has been well maintained. Has all the amenities such as Wudu room. Also worth visiting as a tourist. Especially on Fridays as there's lots of food stores outside the Masjid. Place is buzzing.

I find it fascinating how Islam has entered Chinese history and is still being practiced right in the centre of the city.
The courtyard is lovely and you'll see elderly men with prayer beads. The prayer hall had to undergo repair, apparently due to Japanese bombing and the project managers have looked more to function than aesthetics/art.
Nonetheless to appreciate this side of China's history, would recommend a short visit.

At first a man didn't allow my friends and I to visit the mosque and this was unusual because as a Muslim myself I am usually welcomed into mosques.

After 1 hour we managed to find some people coming out of the mosque and asked if we could enter and they said "yes, of course".

We did go up into the mosque but there wasn't much to see, the style was very Chinese and I was very underwhelmed.

I wouldn't say this is a must do at all.

Chengdu Huangcheng Mosque is one of the most famous mosques in Southwest China. Chengdu Huangcheng Mosque is located in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It was named Huangcheng Mosque because it is near the Huangcheng (Imperial City) area of Chengdu.

It is situated in the center of city.. Very close to Tianfu Square walk-able distance.

Travelers seeking Halal food can surely visit this place , have restaurant and Van cor Shopping mall where your halal food needs fulfills.
