It is like most other parks in the old twon providing a pleasant piece of green amid the buildings. Like most others the=is park is always busy.

Nice little square in the Walled City to relax and take in the surroundings. Grab a fruit plate and find a bench and people watch. There's food carts all around the area for snacks and drinks.

Surrounded by a shady spot to sit and reflect, this plaza is home to a beautiful bronze statue of Símon Bolivar, mounted on his horse. Bolivar was a fascinating man who settled and controlled so much of Central and South America. This plaza is nestled amongst two churches (of course), and an emerald museum/shop and a history-of-Colombian-gold museum. Many vendors... More

A good place to get some shade from the hot sun, eat sime ice cream. There is always some kind of activity going on here and lots of street vendors all around.

In the walled city this plaza is great just to sit down and relax and look at the statue of Simon Bolivar that will make you feel the history of the country and The independence movement. The street entertainers at night are all worth watching. People gather here.

Interesting church and statue of the woman outside. Other than this there are restaurants and at night sometimes street dancers. Good wander through, but that's all.

This seems to be the largest park in the historic old city that is dotted with many lovely, restful, vest-pocket parks. It’s full of mature hardwoods and palms. The first time we passed through, around 1:30 p.m. after exiting the Palace of the Inquisition at one end, all was calm, quiet and sleepy. Lots of folks were ensconced on the... More

We have visited the Plaza a few times and it is always a bit of welcome shade. On our recent cruise stop, we visited quite early in the day so there weren't any crowds yet and the benches were available to sit on! There were some vendors out there already, going from person to person with handfuls of stuff we... More
