We went with city trolley tours. Our guide spoke little english. We loved walking around and seeing all the old buildings. All the sales people were hard sell and will not leave you alone.

This is a charming tropical town. The real attraction is just walking around and taking it in. The museums and buildings are interesting, if fairly standard for the region. Cartagena is quite old and authentic. The restaurants are very good, if pricey as is normal...More

The port city of Cartagena in Colombia is a great walled city with its new and old town. The cruise terminal had a birdlife sanctuary plus some aardvark and other native animals. They just seem to mill around the tourists – the most amazing welcome...More

You can spend plenty of time here if you want. The "old city" has 7 miles of wall around the city so there are plenty of streets to walk and lots of shops to buy over priced souvenirs. There are plenty of places to eat...More

Stunning colonial architecture at every corner and a myriad of museums and churches. It’s very touristy and crowded but this is to be expected

You can get lost in the walled city for hours. Take time to explore some of the lesser known areas as you can get a much better feel for local culture. Best souvenirs in all of Colombia

We loved Cartagena! Wandering through the cobbled streets, looking at the colonial architecture and shopping in the quaint shops were highlights of our trip. We loved eating in the varied restaurants where the food was usually delicious. Travelers, put this one on your bucket lists!

Explore both in day & night! Both times offer different experiences. In the day you'll appreciate the history, old Spanish Colonial architecture & commerce. Walk on the wall & watch the ocean waves crash up onto the roadway. Join a complimentary walking tour to learn...More

Sorry you will have been and gone by now!! I did not get this request until the second week in January. We were a party of 12 in July so we pre -booked a shuttle bus. Some of the hotels will organise this or give a contact.
