Just next to the Universidad Metro Station there is this botanical garden, which is very much worth to be visited. When coming by car, there is a parking garage at the Carrera 51d (shopping mall). The park access is free and with a good cam...More

We went here one afternoon and though it's a nice park, we were a bit underwhelmed. Maybe it was off season (February) but almost all of the interesting parts were closed off. Check if things are open before you go!

Jardin Botanico, is just a nice place for a stroll, however it isn't much of a "botanical garden" It just looked like a regular park to me. It is located around barrios, which are more ghetto areas in Medellin. Just be careful of your surroundings,...More

Beautiful beautiful place to sit and relax for a few hours. Well kept and full of life. Great attraction at no cost and easily accessible on the metro.

There is really nothing much at this garden but then the admission is also free. I was hoping to see a lot of butterflies but found none. It is a great place to walk around if you are near the univ. campus.

I was pleasantly surprised by how great this place was. There were gorgeous flowers and plants, tons of massive iguanas and beautiful butterflies. And it’s free! I ate there as well - the service was slow but the food was really good.

I ended up with some time to spare in Medellín and decided to come to the botanical gardens. I was surprised to see that no fee is charged and beautiful gardens are located inside. Even though bathrooms are tricky to find, the one restaurant only...More

This is a beautiful place, but we had come specifically for the orchid garden and there were literally less than 10. Its still a beautiful peaceful spot and its free....go to the In Situ restaurant there...that part was mind blowing

Was not great. The high point was the iguanas. Wonderful creatures and here you get to see them out and about up close. A better place to visit is the Cerro El Volador Natural park. Amazing views

Beautiful gardens and an easy walk with lots of street art. Great way to spend a day in Medellin! There are lots of cafes and a nice gift shop and flower shop too.

According to the rules they ask you to leave your pets at home, so I would say no. There are however several feral cats that we saw lounging around, but these were not pets. I can't post the link here but if you go to the... More
