I missed the Botero museum in Bogota as it was closed the day I had free, so seeing all these wonderful sculptures in the plaza was amazing. What a fact aspic collection of shapes and sizes!

The park is conveniently located 1/2 a block from the largest homeless sector of Medellin and it can get scary at times. You are approached by every homeless person asking for money, and there are a too many scary/shady characters that we left after 20 seconds. Don't risk it.

You won't spend a long time here but the time you do spend will be fun and interesting. There are many Botero sculptures (maybe a dozen or more) and the plaza has a fun vibe.

Even if you are not in intrested in arts, it is worth to go to this plaza and look at those 23 sculptures which the author presented to the city over 10 years ago. Some are funny, some cute. Lively plaza full of action.

Fantastic park with 23 sculptures donated by Botero, son of the city. Located at a big plaza in the city centre

Hey, it's a city center park, just like paris or nyc, keep your wits about you. If you bring a 3K camera, well you know whats going to happen. Medellin is a safe city but there are shady people here.

Loved the anatomically correct , though clearly obese, human figures. Enjoyed roaming the plaza and then enjoyed a delicious lunch at the cafe at the adjacent Museo de Antioquia.

When an artist fulfilled the space. It's marvelous when a town open it squares to the cultural icons and these become even bigger.

What a wonderful way to experience Botero's artistry. The bronze statues are situated in a way to enjoy them from all angles. The people selling their wares in the plaza are friendly and not pushy. Loved it!

Senor Botero was very prolific and very generous with his artwork. His sculptures are approachable, fun and always interesting. A large collection of his work in a small area right in the heart of Medillin - well worth a visit.
