Beautiful zoo, recommended for visitors in Medellín. It's very organized, with many kinds of animals. There are a zone for creating consciousness about the extinction of animals which it's very impressive and creative. The entrance spend 7000 COP for children and 14000 COP for others.

The Parque Zoologico Santa Fe in Medellin is one of the best zoos I have ever visited. I have visited several in Europe and in the 'New World' and find it to be one of the best. First of all, the self-guided tour is so well organized. There are paws painted on the walkway and you just follow them. The... More

Took my grandsons almost 5 years old and 2 year old (with nannie) to this park and had a delightful two hours. the animals were active, staff attentive, helpful, and enthusiastic about their jobs and the animals, ( though English limited). Of course the felines and monkeys were highlights though bird noises great, hippos entertaining, and butterflies pretty.

It was very cute to take the children to this zoo. Especially younger children. Teens may not be impressed by animals in this zoo.

Taxi's are available in front of the entrance. There is a metro station, but it's about half an hour walking. Ticket price for the zoo is 14.000 p.p. The zoo is not big. You probably walk around in 1 to 2 hours. You get a free map at the entrance, but you actually don't need it. This park made animal... More

I enjoy animals and as I travel I enjoy visiting local zoos. This one definitely beats some I seen in Ukraine. The zoo is small, but decently organized. The animals seem content, clean and well cared for. While there I watched the snake curator handle the boa in its enclosure...interesting to watch his care. Lots of maintenance was going on,... This zoo does not compare with the best, modern zoos around, but it is a good, small zoo worth visiting for a few hours when in Medellin. It's small, but is laid out well so easy to see all the main exhibits. One good thing was that almost all the animals were up and about when I visited, which often... More

One of the park rangers told us they house exclusively rescued animals. There's pretty much to see, animals are not in bad conditions. Some are clearly bored, but hey, what can you really expect in a zoo. However, it's a great get away both for adults as children. Enjoyable natures, well laid out plan; follow the preset path and you... More
