We stayed a couple of nights here. We loved it but it is quite rustic. We ate both lunches and evening meals here and the food was pretty good. The sand and sea are stunning but watch out for scratchy rocks under your feet in the sea.

We went to Playa blanca on a sunday, and therefore the beach was very crowded and one felt like a lemon to be queezed by the souvenir and snack dealers, amateure masseurs, etc. The snorkelling wasn't to good neither because the visibility was poor due to all the activity by Jetskis, boats, etc. I went jet skiing which was cheap... This beach is a very nice beach and worth a visit if in Santa Marta. Trying the local fish in one of the cafe restaurants to break up your beach day is a must. It is not the nicest beach I have ever been to but it is more relaxing than some of the other beaches in the area and... More

Calm water, very good for swimming. Nice blue sea. Beach is not really with white fine sand but yellowish. You can rent a tent with chairs for 15000 to 30000 pesos depending on season. In order to reach the beach from Santa Marta take taxi for 10000 pesos to Rodadero and there on the beach boat to playa for 12000... More

The beach is completely packed, there is very little space to put your towel and chill unless you resort to pay for some chairs, you cannot get a proper swim because of the boats and water bikes that are all parked just in front of the beach and also there are a lot of rocks. Finally, if you want a... More

This is not the most beautiful beach in Santa Marta, but the access to it makes it very appealing to visitors. you have to take a taxi or drive to Taganga, then take a 5 minute boat ride to this beach. The beach has gotten busy with the years but it still has a private feel to it. the prices... More

Playa Blanca is a wonderful secluded small white beach just around the corner from Rodadero Beach. It can only be accessed by boat from Rodadero Beach. There are chairs with umbrellas for rent, restaurants, restrooms, snorkeling, diving, a zip line and an aquarium. There are a couple of vendors selling coconut candy. We had a wonderful morning snorkeling with a... More

According to a lot of reviews, this beach is dirty and crowdy but that is not what i saw (maybe i have been lucky). We took a taxi from santa marta to the neighbor city (10.000cop) and then took a little boat to the beach for 15.000 cop return ticket. The water was clear, the sand was more made of... More

Ended up going to Playa Blanca as suggested by friends and locals. First disappointment is that the sand is not white. It is yellowish. It is very coarse like construction sand. It is not good for walking and that's what we like to do when we go to the beach. It has a lot of restaurants where to eat and... More

Enjoyed hanging out at the beach all day. The water was fairly clear, and there was a large number people. You can also zip line from one end of the beach to the other.
