I did an Open Water course with Compass, choosing them largely because of the opportunity to do the dives on Atauro. I was glad I did, because it was an excellent experience all round. I was able to fit the theoretical tests in at times when I wasn't working (evenings) and the pool work was done not far away in... More

Luke my dive instructor was very patient & caring, the food was amazing and diving superb! Everyone works hard to ensure you have a good experience. I had an awesome trip to Atuaro Island with Compass. I did both sides of the Island. The stay at Compass's Eco Safari Camp and snorkeling the adjacent reefs was the highlight. The staff were great and everything you could think of was included. If you love being in the natural environment, adventure and don't mind getting back to basics... More

We had a two day visit to Atuaro with Compass and enjoyed our time immensely. We managed to see whales both on the way to the island and the way back and the captain made detours so that we could get a better view of these magnificent mammals, we got to within 50 metres at one stage. That apart when... More

Fantastic memorable experience. Highly recommend!! I did a one-day dive trip to Atauro with Luke and Tony, who both made it an enjoyable comfortable experience. The reefs at Atauro are some of the best in the world and I saw some incredible biodiversity. We had lunch at a mini-coastal village that the dive shop has set up where they bring... More

Great staff. My wife and I went out with Chris and Luke and 1 other diver for a day trip to Atauro Island. I was just getting over a cold so had to settle for snorkeling which was so incredible - water so clear that visibility was over 20 meters straight down. Huge coral formations, numerous fish (didn't see one... More

After diving all around SE Asia I can say that although what we found underwater wouldn't be on top of my diving-spots list, both Tony and the Indonesian instructor (sorry I keep forgetting her name!) were the best professionals I have met so far. Since the moment I entered the dive centre she was very friendly and super welcoming, gave... More
