Incredible views of 2 bays. A welcome relief from the traffic of the harbor. We took #10 Bemo - a shared public transport from downtown, hiked up to the statue and then down the back stairs to a second cove. Beautiful white sand, but the...More

Take the time in Dili to visit Jesus. It's a fifteen minute climb up from the beach and the view is great, especially at dawn as the moon sets.

Beautiful spot and a good hike up the hill for a spectacular view. Finish off with a swim or a snorkel at "white beach".

Fabulous views of Dili and beaches. Many stairs to climb but stations of the cross along the way and spots to rest and take it all in.

A must visit in dili. Not well maintained but have seen a group of young ones cleaning the steps on a Sunday morning led by an adult. Good view from the top.

This site is a steady climb up and a good way to start your cultural acclimatisation. The way to Christ's statue is strewn with rubbish but the climb is worth it and our group had lots of laughs getting a decent selfie.

Decided to have a look. 10am was getting hot. Decided to use a blue taxi. Had the car wait and then take us to Timor Plaza. Pleasant drive there. Good exercise and few people there. Hot and humid. View was quite nice.

Absolutely must-to-see in East Timor - but be ready for lomg walk to top by stairs, there is no elevator. Locals go this way without shoes but visitors better wear it. Perfect view to city and beaches.

Many locals and expats say if you haven't been up to the Cristo Rei statue in Dili, it's like you haven't been at all. It takes about 45 minutes to walk at an easy pace up the steps to the Jesus statue and down again,...More
