Went here as a day trip with Chalo Tours. Left town around 9:00am and got back around 3:15pm. It takes about 40 min or so to get there by boat. Our first stop was Playa el Maglecito (wet landing, best to have only your swim...More

Take time to visit this sight while in Galapagos. You will swim with sea turtles, sea lions, sharks, puffer fish, maybe even barracudas. All safe, all fun.

Lots of marine life to see underwater, including some very neat coral, sharks, turtles, etc. The water is frigid and the current is strong, and there is less to see from the surface than there is from down below. The rock itself is also pretty...More

We went to Kicker Rock as a day trip. One hour boat ride from san cristobal island. We encountered Galapagos sharks, white tip sharks, sea turtles and a lot of fish. From small one to large ones. Although we missed hammer head sharks because they...More

If you want the experience of feeling small, this is a spot to include on your itinerary. Most of the snorkelling on the islands is near the shore, or at least around a reef where you could (theoretically) get out of the water if you...More

Great day to Kicker Rock, beautiful scuba diving (although I went snorkelling the next day on a tour 360 trip and that was almost as good as the diving!). A must see I would say.

Our day trip did two snorkels, or dives. Apparently the water is a little warmer here. Thank goodness. I think it was 21C, when the week before it had been more like 16C and I don't function well in really cold water. Anyway, great fishes,...More

I traveled to the Galagos on a budget and had to combine tour days with DIY days, so I had to think about the tours I would take. As far as snorkeling is concerned, I heard that Kicker Rock on San Cristobal and Los Tuneles...More

Kicker Rock or Lion Dormido has a great reputation as a dive spot but nature didn't cooperate with us. There wasn't much to see. We swam around the rock, through it at 60 foot but the sea life didn't want to be seen that day....More

I took a day trip with Scuba Eden. Fabulous operators. Good equipment, excellent guides. Fair price and they even take GoPro photos for you.

we used Chalo Tours and didn't book until we got to the island. In fact, we didn't pre-book anything since it was so difficult finding just dive operators on the internet. He uses the large catamaran that you will see in... More

Our group of 5 visited in late October in 2016. There was a great variety of sea life but the water temps are lower and the seas a little rougher. We wore wetsuits which helped us stay warmer.
