Just a short walk from the more crowded Playa Mansa at Tortuga Bay. Much larger expanse of white sand than Playa Mansa. Red Flag (no swimming) likely to to be up but still some adventurous people inside. Bring water and everything you need. Absolutely nothing...More

The entrance to the pathway to Turtle Bay is up some steep steps about 5-10 mins from the town centre. Apart from that it’s fairly straightforward along a paved pathway through the cacti and other plants. The beach itself is about 30 mins away. When...More

Tortuga Bay is gorgeous with marine iguanas sitting in the surf. Just beyond is a sheltered bay which has excellent swimming/snorkelling- with black rays and turtles clearly visible in the calm water. Probably other wildlife in the mangroves. You can hire a kayak here or...More

A waking distance from the town, the walk from the entrance is longer but the beach is definitely worth it. Enjoy the beach together with sea lions and iguanas.

My wife and I visited the Galápagos the last week in December and took the long walk to Tortuga Bay. It is a long walk to get there, around 35-40 minutes, so be prepared for that. Also the beach you arrive at is mostly for...More

Nice calm waters for swimming also amazing wildlife can be seen if you rent a kayak. I think it was $20. Long walk to get there on the beach and a boardwalk. Was not very busy while we were there which was nice.

This beach is about a 30-40 minute walk from the main area of town so definitely bring water and snacks. The first beach is incredible, fine white sand and at least a mile long with hardly anyone here. I'm not sure if that was because...More

How to get there: just walk from downtown to the entrance (10 minutes max, dont waste money on a taxi). No entrance fees. Then you need to walk 40-45 minutes to get to the beach on a small path (no bikes or cars allowed). What...More

Our first day of snorkeling here was incredible, with sharks, turtles, and rays - though the water was a little murky, it didn’t ruin the fun. Plus the iguanas just hanging around are worth a visit!

We walked here from Puerta Ayora for the afternoon. The walk is a paved track - we walked quite quickly and it took less than 30 mins to get onto the first beach. You then turn right (the initial beach is OK for surfing, but...More

Hi! you can only reach the beach after a taxi gets you to the starting point of a 40 minutes walk (beautiful, but carry your own shadow), or by sea taxi (US$ 10). It's an isolated beach and that's part of it's beauty. It's... More
