Great place for learning about the history of the islands, how they came to be populated and all subsequent conflicts. There are a lot of original artefacts and drawings which makes for a lovely visit.

I enjoyed this exhibit which takes perhaps an hour of time to visit. Mostly in Tahitian and French but enough English and easy to figure out labels. Interesting history of islands, Polynesians, and geology. Easy to take taxi then walk 10 minutes to nearby Hotel...More

This is one of the best collection of pre-contact French Polynesian artifacts anywhere. The Bishop Museum in Honolulu and the Museum of New Zealand have more extensive collections from across the Pacific, but here is an excellent collection focused on some truly iconic French Polynesian...More

Great collection of Polynesian artefacts and well worth a visit. Most of the exhibitions are quite old and in need of a facelift. Only minimal information in English. Worth a visit nonetheless.

This museum is truly excellent but clearly needs some funds and feels under-utilised. Go there. It has comprehensive exhibits.

This is a great museum for Polynesian history and culture. We had a guide on a tour but everything is well explained by signage. See how it used to be in F.P. Nice grounds.

The musium is small and quite. It's great to hide from the sun and check the history of FP for 30 minutes or so. There is a great black sand beach near by, which is very convenient. Nice place to visit but maybe not worth...More
