This is unique architecture with Hindu and Buddhist motifs and designs adapted to the mosque. It is a vast quiet complex. The main building has beautiful carvings and columns. Worth a visit.

In your day around Ahmedabad, you will notice that almost all islamic structures in the city have almost the same major construct. With two large minarets towering right next to the main door of the sanctum, with carved facades and walls, Jama Masjid is, I believe, the main place of worship for the Muslim people of the city. Leave your... More

The place is surrounded by shops, it happened that I missed the spot initially. The walls of the place can be seen from Gandhi road ( a busy shopping street). The building is a historical structural beautifully craftsmanship can be seen on the walls and minars.

Must visit for all people..The fantastic Heritage Walk organised by AMC starts at Old Swaminarayan Temple and ends at Jama Masjid. Steeped in history, this monument is a major part of old Amdavad history. Good architecture

This masjid is one of the best masjids in Ahmedabad. It is made by using yellow sandstones. The most amazin thng about this masjid is that the architecture of this mosque is a blend of Hindu and Muslim styling reason being it is that this edifice was built using items rescued from the demolished Hindu and Jain temples. Supported by... More

Its easy to miss the entrance to the Jama Masjid, but it is definitely worth a visit. Since there is no roof, it can be quite difficult to cover on a sunny day. The chamber with multiple pillars is very well built and worth a visit

This is very good architecture to be visited. This needs to be visited in day time if you want to take good photos. Good and neat. We liked it. It's in heart of the city. Theen Darvaja is the area name which is near manick chowk. Pls make it a point to visit this good architectural place.

Thank S A
