This place is good for one time visit, this year bird population of migratory birds was very less because of lesser rain fall so couldn't see much.

You can definitely get to see common cranes, demoiselle cranes, flamingoes and storks during this time. Though we couldn't see much ducks and other waders, but we enjoyed seeing sandgrouse, rosy starlings, kingfisher and a few pelicans.

The ever increasing pressure for land has resulted in very little or no water and hence lesser birds. But yet it is an amazing place and a wonderful birding sight. It is a photographers paradise. I can spend hours here.... More

We went here 2 years ago as a part of our study tour from college and it is an excellent place. Saw and learnt so many things. Saw with my eyes what a wetland with a great flora and birds is.

This is the place where you have to come twice (in early morning as well evening) if you are bird watcher and want to capture them. Paddle boat is also provided here. Very nice place.

Info on bird sanctuary is available elsewhere; but I would like to draw everyone's attention to the Interpretation Centre. It's an amazing place run by amazing people like Sejalben and others. It's among the best in India. A model. A must-go. Has a rest room, clean water, free camps in winter for minimum 50 school children or more. Amazing place... More
