We took a shikara ride for about 2 hours on the dal lake. I must say this is one of the best things to do in kashmir. A very peaceful and enjoyable experience.

Dal Lake Srinagar , sprawling 26 sq.km is the main Srinagar attraction. Well-known for its house boats and Shikara. splendid place at lap of Himalayas, Its unmatched attractiveness & picturesque surrounding area creates it perfect a lavishnes.

We had 2 rides using Shikara and the rides were average The lake is not clean Nothing special and you wont miss much

Beautiful but too much plastic pollution. Would definitely reccomend hiring a shikara to see the sunset in summer.

Beautiful world famous dull lake is really amazing. Boat rides, markets in lake, beautiful views are specially give you immense pleasure. Boat qualities are excellent. Must visit once in life.

Its lal chowk which is heart of srinagar but its dal which is the love life. A small city of houseboats and shikaras. The water is dirty but the shikara ride is worth esp a sunset. The shikara walahs have an amazing story to tell....More

Yes , you can find snow fall in Dec , how ever room booking with warmers is must to sustain the cold.. You can get the gloves & jackets to play in snow there only on rental basis .. Pls let me know any other information if... More

as their is lot of time in July would be difficult to judge in May. From our experience of April i will suggest if the situation is not good in July. pl dont travel no point in taking risk. even if military is deployed still... More
