The drive from Pangong Lake to Tso Moriri is a car ride for nearly 9-10 hours. The roads are bad and sometimes non- existent. However, the journey is a photographers treat. Every mountain is of different colours, formation and each frame is a landscape painting...More

I loved this places more then Pangoan Lake in Ladakh, The Tso Moriri Lake has a breathtaking view of Clean but salted water. It takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach from Leh city.

Beautiful location up high in the sky, but difficult approach on unpaved roads for a long time. Lodging is extremely mediocre due to weather issues and limited tourist visitation. Visited in 2007.

This amazing BLUE lake is at the other end of a long drive over poor roads and several mountain passes. The accommodation beside and overlooking the lake is basic, and can be cold at night, though heavy woollen blankets solve that issue. It seems the...More

Tso Moriri, though not in everyone radar while on a Ladakh trip, is a must do. An absolute haven for Bird lovers besides beautiful Wild Hoses and Kiangs roaming free in the lush green meadows amidst the barren mountains is plain stunning. The colours of...More

Tso Moriri Lake is different from anything that we've ever witnessed before. The high altitude and the closeness to the Indo-China border means that there is high security and scarce population. The lake hosts a wide variety of flora and fauna and we were lucky...More

Lesser known n hence refreshingly Serene & Pristine is Tso (lake) Moriri. The gravel road does deter tourists. With Indus flowing all along and barren mountains on other side the drive is worth taking. Road less traveled leading to one of Nature’s spectacular gifts!!!!

Hi, Yes, that can be an option. It will be a detour from the Leh Manali highway and you will have to get there via the Tso Kar lake. But, the lake is at an altitude of around 16000 ft, so might be a bit tricky to go there... More
