Monastery is peaceful. Great views. Easy to reach from Leh. Requires climbing a number of steep steps.

A nice monastery with multiple layers and a peaceful place to spend around an hour. The place offers breaktaking view of the town overlooking the mountains.

This place is not quite far from Leh, and if you are coming here by bike from Manali, Then you'll find this place 30-40 km before Leh.

The journey to the sanctum might seem quite an effort owing to the number of steep steps to climb. But once in, watching the beauty of the Future Buddha (Maitreya) is worth all the effort!!

Best to fly to Srinagar and go by a beautiful road to Leh via Kargil and Alchi. Return direct flight from Leh to delhi.

I think you mean to boarding is "Entry". It was INR 30 that we paid! It was the fee for a single day. If you want to stay there for a night or multiple nights then you have to contact thikshey monastery directly.
