The confluence of the river offers a beauty that will leave travelers glued to the place. I don't know about the summer months, but I was there in January (after 3 days of continuous snow) and it was a treat to watch the beauty of the confluence.

Zanskar and Indus river can be seen to merge at a place called Nimmoo. It is situated at around 40kms from the Leh town on the way to Chilling.

We went for sixteen kilometer rafting and it was amazing. Water was soo cold that it turned our feet red. Good crew and superb superb view. Good and photogenic place. Must go.

In winters, while the Zhanskar river is frozen the view becomes very peaceful. You can experience the frozen river and the flowing river merging and becomes one. I don't know about summer personally but I know that this is a great experience and everyone should have it if they can.

This is a spot where the two rivers meet. We stopped a couple of times in September and both times the rivers were quite muddy coloured. So would say it's OK, but don't make a special journey there
