I visited the confluence after 6 long years and found it spoilt by increasing tourist footfall and crass commercialisation. When I first visited the place in 2008, it was untouched natural beauty. But this time around plastic waste and glass bottles were everywhere. With Ladakh...More

One can reach the base where the two rivers meet by taking a small diversion. The view of the rivers when the sun is setting is unforgettable. There is a small restaurant also serving snacks & tea, coffee etc.

We started our journey from Phay and ended at Sangam where Indus and Zanskar rivers meet. Its a superb place and must visit while visiting Leh. Dip in the ice cold water of Indus near Sangam is one of best experiences.

Dont miss rafting at this point. Its a lifetime experience! In the month of September, you wont find many rapids yet the icy cold water and the thrill you get would be unforgettable!

The altitude of the confluence is lower than Leh. The road to the spot is good. If you have acclimatised yourself at Leh for a day, there won't be any problem.
